Help Our Team in the Fight Against MS!
The number of people living with multiple sclerosis increases every hour of every day. This astonishing rate is not going to diminish, nor will it stop, until we've found a cure. Research has made some incredible advances recently, but the world can still only offer disease management drugs and therapies to the 400,000 people living with MS in America.

The Old West End neighborhood will be represented again this year in the 2009 MS Bike to the Bay. So far our team consists of the following individuals:

MISSING CAT.....
Is any one missing a cat? There has been a beautiful cat wondering around the homes in the Islington/Scottwood area for a few weeks. Nobody seems to know where it came from. It goes to people’s doors wanting to be let in. It is a long-haired white cat with black on its head and tail. Very friendly and likes belly rubs. No claws on front paws. Can’t tell if it is male/female but it does feel thin under all that fur! Clearly it is someone’s pet. If it does belong to a neighbor in that area, it would be helpful to put a collar/tags (or better yet, take it inside) on it so neighbors know it belongs to someone (hint hint). It is not known if it is loose or is being allowed to roam outside. If it is not claimed, there will be an effort to take it and place it in an adoption program. If you live in this immediate area, please ask your neighbors if this cat belongs to them.

p.s. I am still feeding someone’s lovebird/parakeet at my feeder on a daily basis. Has anyone lost this type of bird recently? Bright green with yellow chest. It is thoroughly enjoying it’s new-found freedom and seems to be smitten with the sparrowsJ

BE AWARE OF STRANGE ACTING VEHICLES.....CALL 911 OR OWE SECURITY
Tuesday, a white moving van was seen in the alley just east of Collingwood at Victoria which appeared to be up to no good. It sat in the alley for quite a while, and when approached by neighbors it sped off. It looks like a small U-Haul van that's been painted white.

SATURDAY WORK DAY AT ARJA AND CONCERT ON SUNDAY!
This Saturday is another work day. Several areas that will need attention -- trimming the bushes, planting geraniums, cleaning up the sculpture garden, I'm planning on getting a load of mulch so we can start spreading that around the trees and beds too.

On Sunday is our first concert of the summer, Derrick Hudson and friends. Hope to see you all on Saturday and Sunday!

At approximately 11:15 Tuesday night Jodi's boys were born. All are well. Nicholas David weighed 6-8. Zachary Thomas was 6-2.
